Q: Who needs a Municipal Trade License?
Any business operating a commercial retail shop, restaurant, hotel, packaging unit, or manufacturing plant within municipal corporation boundaries must obtain a trade license.
Q: How long is a food safety license valid?
FSSAI registrations are issued for a duration of 1 to 5 years. Renewal applications must be submitted online at least 30 days before the active license expires to avoid penalty fees.
Q: What is the difference between CTE and CTO?
Consent to Establish (CTE) is required before commencing construction of a factory or commercial plant. Consent to Operate (CTO) must be obtained after construction is completed and before regular operations begin.
Q: Is a Fire NOC mandatory for retail shops?
A Fire NOC is mandatory for commercial spaces above a specific square footage, multi-story buildings, and high-occupancy areas like restaurants, hotels, and cinemas.
